Fastboat form Bali
To reach Gili Trawangan from Bali, you can take boat from several pots. Most commonly, travelers from Padang Bai on Bali’s east coast or Serangan Harbour. These operated by various companies and can take around 1.5 to 2.5 hours. They usually provide hotel pick-up and drop-off services.
Speedboat from Lombok
All our Ombak Hotels offer our Sonic Fleet, our iconic yellow speed boat. At the wharf, you’ll be greeted with our yellow speed boats that will skip you across the Lombok straits in 15 minutes, landing at the Hotel Vila Ombak private beach.
Domestic and International flights are available to Lombok mainland. Upon arriving from Lombok Airport, we can arrange an airport transfer directly to our hotel. This transfer will take you roughly 2 hours in total, including car and speed boat. The car will take you either through the monkey forest (Pusuk) or by the coast (Senggigi), to our wharf, known as Teluk Kombal Wharf.

We recently enjoyed a wonderful stay at Ombak Sunset on Gili Trawangan, and it was the perfect getaway to celebrate our engagement. The serene atmosphere and breathtaking ocean views made for an idyllic backdrop.
We celebrated our 30th wedding anniversary in Gili T and wanted to book a meal somewhere special for the evening. We looked at a few options on the island and thought that the setting for the Hotel Ombak looked the best. We were not disappointed! It was the most amazing setting, meal and service we could have wished for. It was also really good value for what we had, costing just under £90 for the 2 of us.
Loved our two room villa. Perfect place to chill for a few days! The spa here was wonderful, Ida was brilliant and very lovely. I would come again just to visit her! I enjoyed my omelettes every morning and found the staff very friendly and attentive, right from when Sanur dropped our bags off, everyone we came across was really lovely. Easy access to the beach and the bikes were great to get around. Thank you!
My family and I had a lovely stay here. The rooms were very spacious and comfortable and had everything we needed. The beach opposite is a great spot to watch the sunset. The staff were so friendly and welcoming, especially Hendra. We became very good friends with him, he is very helpful and caring. He is an amazing person, and my family and I feel very lucky to have met such a special friend. We would definitely recommend a stay at Ombak Sunset, and we can’t wait to come back!
We stayed at Ombak Sunset for 3 nights during our recent trip to Bali. This was our 2nd stop after visiting Ubud and we were extremely satisfied by the service received all round from the hotel staff. The rooms, restaurant and grounds were of a high standard. The hotel is situated in the quieter part for the Island but still plenty around for food and drink and only a short cycle to the busier part. Thank you to all at Ombak Sunset for making our stay very enjoyable.
I really enjoyed my holiday here. Beautiful gardens, trees and birds surrounding lovely rooms. Nice open spaces with the beach right in front and a big swimming pool and deck chairs. Very friendly staff. The best spot to watch sunsets on the island in my opinion. I enjoyed hiring a bike for the week here and riding to nice cafes and restaurants and swimming spots with the turtles. I would stay here again.
